GoodLuck Mr. CM!

Its been quite sometime now that I've been trying to avoid signing into Whatever. The reason is not credited to my being busy, I am hardly busy, rather it was just another reluctant feeling of mine to write on the obvious on-going mood swings of mine.
But then I often wonder, are my mood swings more frequent than governmental swings of my country? This really is a debatable topic. With emergence of AAP in Indian center and state domain, the moods, expectations, vision, confidence and spirits of people have gone up to a completely new and different level. There seems to be beginning of a new start, start of confidence in people's heart for the government, start of realization for other traditional parties that they CAN be defeated and that too by by new comers, start of new hopes of getting heard, start of a revolution!
Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, name needs no introduction, is a person with great academic accomplishments. Its already well known that he proactively denied the luxuries his degrees could bring to his life, and instead, chose to serve the country, risking his life in many ways, living in miserable circumstances and fighting every moment whether for corruption, for poverty, for inflation or similar zillion problems gripping our nation's progress. It came as a surprise to see him on capital's CM chair, to see that all his efforts have finally paid off. But with this, came in tonnes of speculations, an out pour of skeptical views whether he would be able to deliver what has been promised, whether he would be able to retain his vision despite the alliance with other party, whether he would stick to his goals and not get corrupt himself and what not.
Give it a break guys! It hasn't been a complete month and everyone has started pin pointing. What could UPA do in last 10 years of ruling session? What has BJP done since then apart from disclosing UPA's and now AAP's logical or illogical loop holes? Needless to mention, the other small parties are only good for extending their support for alliance to big parties and making huge profits. It feels bad to see that the makers of our government itself cannot tolerate the good of our nation. They cannot see anyone else taking control and trying to do some good. Is politics just about politics and no where about the country and it's people? Is it only about winning and losing and no where about serving? Is it only about yours and mine and no where about ours?
Nothing is permanent and so is AAP. We sure have invested our confidence and belief in AAP and Mr. Kejriwal, and no wonder we could be betrayed too but give our country a chance, give change a chance, give HIM a chance. I don't know what lies ahead, but as of now, I do wish to support this guy who has kept nothing for himself so far, who has only slept on foot paths to make people realize that it's time to break the slumber, who has only tried to bring in good changes like lok pal bill and his 18  proposed changes, who has gained the capital's ministry by enough hard work and not by mere rallies and funds.

With you Mr. CM, All the very best!!

The Beginning of Professional Me...

Life in Chandigarh is complacent since the day it began. I no doubt had my own share of ups and downs, both professional and personal, but am satiated so far.
I often think of the professional Me and then again I go back to my initial times and ask myself this question over and over again - Did I ever dream of being a corporate professional? Till date, I haven't been really successful in getting a satisfactory response to my constant questioning but if I think of today, I do feel good about my work. Working and being a part of corporate world is more of an experience than a feeling. Its full of numerous new interactions, new people, new places (specially in my case!!), new goals and perhaps new challenges. Though not much has come my way yet, or may be i didn't feel like that till now, but its really a good feeling working in a company. It means a lot.. it means you have a responsibility in your hands, it means you have to fulfill certain expectations, it also means you're a part as well as representative of a team.. a huge group of people, and then it means you have to make your living!!
Working with Infosys has been a roller coaster ride. There have been numerous ups and downs in all these months and don't know how many are piled up ahead. But seems it has prepared me to deal with any uncertainty with a chilled out attitude. I still remember the time when I was in mysore for training. Despite the pressure of maintaining a decent CGPA, despite the constant stress, despite the struggle, despite those zillion tests and modules, despite those sleep deprived nights due to the zillion tests, despite the home sickness, those were the best days of my life! I have lived one of the most beautiful days of my life in Infosys Mysore DC and I really wish if I could get a chance to visit it again. Well, they don't prefer calling it office, instead, they call it a DC - Development Center of Infosys. Seems fine too, for a distinct organization, there should be certain distinct labels. Everything was so perfect there.. the huge mansion-like campus - the kind which make you feel that they belong to you, the serene greenery, the paths so clean as if the roads have been built a moment ago, the hotel-like food courts, rocking DJ parties, our very favorite pool side, entire ECC (Employee Care Center), darling multiplex (This one is probably the best part of Mysore DC!! Gawd.. I miss it!!), late night CCDs and Baskin-Robins, awesome weather round the year and so much more. Its less of a professional and more of a college environment.
Those were the days which laid the foundation of building the college student in me to a responsible corporate person. I wouldn't be justified in calling myself the exact replica of what I always looked up to when I admired a successful figure like Mr. Narayan Murthy, it has taken him a long time, perhaps his entire lifetime to reach that place, but I can definitely say that I see myself travelling the same road with a similar vision - To change the world - To change MY world.
As I write this post, I realize that dreams are actually indefinite and it only takes a right vision to turn them into reality. I hope mine too comes out to be one of such kind because I completely agree when they say:
If you can dream it, you can make it happen.

Has it REALLY ended???

Even after 4 years, even after the execution of the lone terrorist alive, even after people trying to move on and trying to forget what happened on 26/11, I still feel compelled to ponder over the remedies and strictness shown by Indian govt to cater to the country's demand and urge to see the perpetrators hanged! Besides sharing multiple coward copies of proofs and files establishing pakistan's involvement in the episode, what did they do in tackling anything of similar nature in future? What did they do to tell the people of our country that they feel for those who fall prey to those bastards and tell them that everything had been taken care. If US can hunt down Bin Laden and kill him, why can't we do the same to the people behind this massacre? Today, while watching the documentary on History channel, I seem to remember everything that happened in those 60 long hours. Eventually everything seems so fresh, the anger, the outrage, the avenging desire. And that's where I felt that no matter how many years pass over that unfortunate day, it will always make our eyes moist and make us pray for the families who suffered losses.
Once again, I wish afresh that they get their place in hell with no more delay, that the affected people are able to move on in their life with a blessed future and that our county is proud to have brave heroes like the NSG commandos!

He is Aamir Khan!!

Hola!! I am so happy to have got the opportunity to check in to my Whatever after a long time! Well, things and ideas keep climbing up the mind's staircase every now and then but  this one thought was pestering me since a long time now. At last, I am here.
In today's world of accelerating awareness, many of us keep cribbing for issues around us, be it social, personal or national. We know how to curse government for bad roads and facilities, we know how to curse the nation for corruption, population and we very well know how to curse the entire system for any small problem we might face. But how many of us actually take a step to tackle it? How many of us actually strive to eradicate what discomforts us? How many of us take it on ourselves and realize the fact that its no one's but our own duty to confront the problem, to clean our society, our system and our nation? In reality, the ratio of those who crib and those who actually think of bringing a revolution is like 1 in a million. And then, for that one in a million who actually think and start with something, it is so assumed that the path wouldn't come out easy for him. Take for example case of Satyameva Jayate, Aamir Khan's perhaps most talked about television show on social issues residing in Indian System, if a layman like me would have taken an initiative like that and thought of airing a show, I doubt on the amount of audience I would have been able to gather and above that I doubt even a channel would have actually allowed me to air it. But it makes me feel so proud and patriotic of Aamir, who with his place in society and with that name of fame, have actually thought, started and executed that project so well.  If it wouldn't have been for him, I again doubt on the popularity and impact of a show of this kind. The stats presented, the stories elaborated compelled me to think about the impact on those victims and future shape of India if they continue to reside in our social system. Every episode made me wonder what will be the next issue, and and every next episode left me all the more petrified. The content, stats, audience and Aamir's scripts, everything throw a clear picture of the intense research the team has gone through. For issues like problems in medical facilities, and khaap panchayats, despite knowing the probable consequences, its commendable not to have felt frightened and present everything audaciously.
Every time I saw his episode, I felt so touched and felt that despite knowing the issue already, I never knew it was that severe and its victims are so intense and large in number. When the question was asked in the episode of Child Sexual Abuse for the percentage of children facing it today, my mind's reflex answered me somewhat around 3-4%% but I was horrified to know the figure to be above 50%. The Dowry problem, the untouchability or human scavenging, the water pollution problem or female foeticide, every problem was so known and so much heard but I would applaud for an initiative and thought this man has put into it and came up with such a huge wave of impact.
I am writing this not because I liked watching the show or I appreciate every social initiative that comes up, I am writing this because I am also a part of those 1 million people who can only sit back and watch the show. I am a part of that 1 million who are happy till they haven't fallen prey to any issues of these kind and think that they never will be affected by them. But I am one in that million too who is moved so much that I feel like contributing to my society and nation now. Don't know how far this feeling of mine will go with me, but for now, I do pledge that a day will come soon...

For now, I salute you Mr. Aamir Khan, Hats off to You!!
