Get Set Go...

I believe it's completely human to keep hoping and expecting things to turn positive one day even if they don't even seem near to what being positive is! I am a patriotic person. I say that not because I aspire to fight at the national border but, because I want to see my country at a height where no nation can ever dare to reach, because I am touched by every good and bad thing that affects it, because it hurts me to see anything that degrades it or comes in it's way of progress and because despite being living in another country for a while, I still feel the same for India and still wanna go back to where I always was, where I belong.
India, for a long time, long enough that I can't recollect since when, have been surrounded by numerous social/national problems - Corruption, high inflation, poverty, population, unemployment, female foeticide, etc etc etc. If I start naming each of them, I would forget what I actually wish to write here. I guess Sir Amir Khan is doing a better job in grabbing and highlighting each and every issue that is corroding our country than I can do here so i'll better leave this to him. Despite all of these prevalent problems, I, like any other Indian, wish to see an India which has a brighter future, safer society and secure borders. Since don't know when, I have been dreaming of a country which attracts the entire world towards it for zillion reasons - it's diverse culture, it's beauty, it's climates and it's people. Today, somehow, somewhere, a light of hope has emerged. A hope which seems to have marked the beginning of a better India with less of corruption, more of opportunities, less of words, more of actions, less of I/you, more of us. A hope named Mr. Narendra Modi. Though turning the dream a reality is a long way to go but then the secret of getting ahead is getting started. And that start has already been done. For the first time, I realize the value of a vote, the value of a leader, value of a good leader.
Not saying much now, I just wanna feel and witness the gradual transformation of my country and be a part of the process wherever possible. Just wishing our PM loads of luck and strength to do what he and India longs for!
Namo Namah!!

A Million Dollar What?!

Lately I saw this new 'so-called' Hollywood movie A Million Dollar Arm. Of what the makers claim, the movie is based on two Indian guys who were picked up by an American contractor to give them a chance to be a part of international baseball teams. The process involved selecting the best from the Indian masses, give them required training in America and then have them give their best short in front of the selectors.
Besides what's said and done, I felt the movie stood more to showcase the poor side of India than to concentrate on baseball. The extent to which the comparison in India and US has been shown, it could have drawn me red and furious but in contrast to that, I was actually laughing inside. It was humorous to see their desperation to show what they wanted to, to see that it's only what they want to show and is not the reality, to see how happy they are to believe only what they want to. These people are just like an ostrich who in case of a problem digs its head in a deep hole assuming if he cannot see the enemy coming, so would the enemy.
C'mon guys, grow up! If this sick strategy of yours helps you earn your dollars, then it's time to find a better way out. Use your unused innovative minds and look for something more logical than to clinging to a single age old formula. Showing a country in a miserable state again and again isn't going to hamper it's growth, but is only going to prove you wrong.
India is a growing country and even if the growth is slow, it is still making it's way further. It has it's own issues to tackle in order to accelerate everything. But this doesn't mean that anyone can just drop in and make it a source of income for themselves. Anyways, from next time on, if I get a chance to watch a movie of this league, I would definitely go, not just to watch it, but to laugh on the sickness again!! ;)

GoodLuck Mr. CM!

Its been quite sometime now that I've been trying to avoid signing into Whatever. The reason is not credited to my being busy, I am hardly busy, rather it was just another reluctant feeling of mine to write on the obvious on-going mood swings of mine.
But then I often wonder, are my mood swings more frequent than governmental swings of my country? This really is a debatable topic. With emergence of AAP in Indian center and state domain, the moods, expectations, vision, confidence and spirits of people have gone up to a completely new and different level. There seems to be beginning of a new start, start of confidence in people's heart for the government, start of realization for other traditional parties that they CAN be defeated and that too by by new comers, start of new hopes of getting heard, start of a revolution!
Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, name needs no introduction, is a person with great academic accomplishments. Its already well known that he proactively denied the luxuries his degrees could bring to his life, and instead, chose to serve the country, risking his life in many ways, living in miserable circumstances and fighting every moment whether for corruption, for poverty, for inflation or similar zillion problems gripping our nation's progress. It came as a surprise to see him on capital's CM chair, to see that all his efforts have finally paid off. But with this, came in tonnes of speculations, an out pour of skeptical views whether he would be able to deliver what has been promised, whether he would be able to retain his vision despite the alliance with other party, whether he would stick to his goals and not get corrupt himself and what not.
Give it a break guys! It hasn't been a complete month and everyone has started pin pointing. What could UPA do in last 10 years of ruling session? What has BJP done since then apart from disclosing UPA's and now AAP's logical or illogical loop holes? Needless to mention, the other small parties are only good for extending their support for alliance to big parties and making huge profits. It feels bad to see that the makers of our government itself cannot tolerate the good of our nation. They cannot see anyone else taking control and trying to do some good. Is politics just about politics and no where about the country and it's people? Is it only about winning and losing and no where about serving? Is it only about yours and mine and no where about ours?
Nothing is permanent and so is AAP. We sure have invested our confidence and belief in AAP and Mr. Kejriwal, and no wonder we could be betrayed too but give our country a chance, give change a chance, give HIM a chance. I don't know what lies ahead, but as of now, I do wish to support this guy who has kept nothing for himself so far, who has only slept on foot paths to make people realize that it's time to break the slumber, who has only tried to bring in good changes like lok pal bill and his 18  proposed changes, who has gained the capital's ministry by enough hard work and not by mere rallies and funds.

With you Mr. CM, All the very best!!
